A pastoral scene depicting an old house in the Welsh village of Betws-y-Coed which lies in the Snowdonia National Park. Presented in an ornate distressed gilt frame with a beaded inner, acanthus leaf and ribbon detailing to the cove, and leaf and berry ornament to the outer edge. Inscribed with the location, artist's signature, and date to the reverse. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There is some craquelure and some mild scuffs to the upper portion of the sky. Some scuffs to the frame and slight widening at the joints. Overall in good condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
