George Cruikshank - Original 1882 Engraving. Oblong folio of 24 engraved plates on the recto of 48 pages, containing 136 captioned vignettes of which four are full page. Each plate states at the foot 'Designed Etched & Published by George Cruikshank’ followed by dates from May 20th 1828 to Sept 1st 1832. The hard covers are missing but endpapers are present. The back endpaper is detached and the edges of both endpapers have losses. There is some foxing on internal pages and some discolouration at the corners of the opening pages. Likely an 1882 reprint based on advertisements on the inside endpaper dating up to 1881. Unsigned.
