A fine oil painting by the English artist G. Willis Pryce, depicting a river scene. Signed to the lower left-hand corner. There is an artist's label on the reverse, inscribed with the artist's name and title. Well-presented in a fabric slip and in an ornate gilt-effect frame. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and small surface marks. Some scuffs to the frame.

G. Willis Pryce (1866-1949) was an English landscape painter. The majority of his works is held in private collections, however, several are exhibited in galleries and museums, such as the Wednesbury Museum and Art Gallery and the Bewdley Museum, as well as several local pieces in Evesham Town Hall.
