This exuberant and eye-catching still life composition depicts a colourful display of Anemones, in a golden ceramic vase. Also pictured in the scene is an unusual coastal postcard painting, resting in the lower right-hand corner. Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration caused by a buildup of surface dirt. There is a pinhole mark to the lower edge of the grey slip. Inspection under UV light reveals signs of restoration to include a small area of overpainting to the upper left-hand corner.
