This striking still life depicts a lavish arrangement of objects and tableware, including goblets, glasses and ornate serving dishes filled with portions of rich berry pie. All elements are rendered with meticulous attention to texture and light. The work is presented in an ornate gilt-effect frame complete with shell and scrolling acanthus ornamentation. Signed 'F. V.
