A fine aquatint by Frederick Christian Lewis (1779-1856), after an original painting by Jacques-Laurent Agasse (1767-1849). Inscribed 'Published as the Act Directs, 1819' within the plate, but this is a later strike. Inscribed. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and surface dirt. The print has been partially cropped inside the plate marks.
