There are several areas of tearing to the substrate. All tearing has been repaired and the largest tear stretches across the upper edge of the paper. With several holes and losses to the substrate, most noticeably to the lower right.

Painter, poster designer, author and radio and television executive. After studying at the Central School of Arts & Crafts and Heatherley's, she was commissioned by the Norwegian and Swedish governments to do Scandinavian drawings for English travel propaganda posters. She designed posters and booklet covers for the LNER and was known for her landscape paintings. She exhibited at the RBA and also worked for London Transport during the period 1923-33. In the late 1940’s Lingstrom was appointed Assistant Head of BBC Schools Broadcasting, and while at BBC Radio she created Listen With Mother in 1950. In the same year, her television commission resulted in her creating Andy Pandy. In may 1951 she was appointed Head of BBC Children's Television and other great creations followed which included 'The Flower Pot Men'. She was elected a member of the British Society of Poster Designers and posters by her are held by the NRM and the V&A. Her death was recorded in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
