A charming landscape painting by Franz Schuhwerk (1868–1946), depicting a humorous moment as a fisherman loses his balance while struggling to land a lively catch. The scene is set against an idyllic landscape backdrop, with verdant rolling hills and an expansive lake. The work is signed lower left and is well presented in an ornate gilt frame. On board.
Condition
Slight discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. Light wear and stable cracking to the frame. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
