A wonderful watercolour study by the British artist and gallery owner Frank Constantine. Here the artist has captured empty playing fields on a drizzly day in early spring. Signed and inscribed with the title to the lower right. On watercolour paper.

Artist Biography

Frank Constantine was born in Sheffield, the son of George Hamilton Constantine. He attended the Sheffield College of Art and took over from his father as Director of the Sheffield Graves and Mappin Art Galleries in 1964. He was awarded an O.B.E in 1981. An exhibition of his acquisitions for the Sheffield Galleries ran from June to August 2015 at the Graves Art Gallery.
