A finely detailed engraving with hand colouring of dianthus barbatus, also known as sweet William. The print was published in Curtis's Botanical Magazine, an illustrated botanical periodical founded in 1787. Signed within the plate to the lower right. Well presented in a black frame with a gold inner edge. On paper.Condition
The artwork is in good condition for a picture of this age. Some slight discolouration to the paper. Minor marks and scuffs to the frame.
