This charming mid-century gouache shows a busy North African town with figures gathered by a mosque. Body colour has been used to highlight the buildings white facades and figures tunics, fully exposed to the hot desert sun. Signed with initials to the lower right. The painting has been well-presented in a hardwood frame with an elegant egg and dart running pattern. On paper.
