A charming mid 19th century landscape scene depicting figures resting before a stone bridge crossing with a winding dirt road, framed by dark trees in the foreground and distant hills. Well presented in an ornate gilt-effect frame with shell and acanthus ornamentation. Signed with monogram lower left and dated '53. On canvas.
