A late 19th century oil study depicting a sunlit kitchen interior with a maid tending a pan on the stove, using a wooden stool for extra height whilst maintaining close attention on the dish she is preparing. The painting is beautifully presented in an elegant black and gilt moulded frame. Signed with initials 'M.G' lower left. On board.
Condition
Some marks and light abrasions to the surface of the painting. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. The picture frame is in fine condition.
