This charming 19th-century scene captures a serene rural landscape with cattle resting in a verdant field, while a female figure tends to a goat with kids. Well presented in a gilt-effect frame with ornate corner mouldings. Indistinctly signed 'Sch. Wilimsohn' to the lower right. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Signs of wear consistent with age. There is widespread craquelure to the surface of the painting. Stable cracking visible to the frame's upper left and lower left ornament. Light restoration and retouching to the canvas. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
