This vibrant impasto scene depicts the end of summer along the canal, with golden trees glowing in the warm sunlight before a railway bridge. Two silhouettes can be seen pictured beneath one of the stone arches, close to the water's edge. Unsigned. The impressionist painting has been well presented in a contemporary gilt frame with bead course and lambs tongue detail. On board.

In very good condition. Inspection under UV light reveals a small amount of overpainting to one of the trees.
