Description
A dynamic and vibrant still life painting depicting a glass bottle, bowl of tomatoes, eggs, leeks and green apples rendered upon a kitchen worktop. The loose, expressive brushwork clearly demonstrates a Post-Impressionist influence as well as a modern touch to the classic still life genre. Illegibly signed upper right and dated 1925, the work is well presented in a bold black frame. On canvas laid to board.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some light soiling to the surface and discolouration to the varnish layer. There is a pale white mark towards the centre of the composition. Small scuffs to the painted frame. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
