A detailed early 19th-century portrait of a young Georgian lady, elaborately dressed with a white ruffled collar, embroidered blue robe, and fine ringlets, with the remainder of her hair plaited and pinned in a high bun. The artist has handled the watercolour medium with ease, capturing every facial feature and finer detail. Presented in an oval mount and period rosewood veneer frame. Unsigned. On paper.

Signs of wear consistent with age. Minor foxing and discolouration to the paper. The frame has minor surface wear consistent with age, including scuffs, scratches and small chips to the veneer. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
