This nineteenth-century watercolour depicts two figures herding cattle beneath the dramatic ruins of a castle perched on an imposing cliff. Well presented in a vintage gilt-effect frame. Unsigned. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing. Marks and scuffs to the frame, as well as some losses to the running pattern. The edge of the glass is slightly visible to the lower right.
