A particularly fine pastel portrait of a Victorian women sat beside a green parrot on top its cage. The women looks mystified by the bird's intelligent nature as she sits contently in its company. The watercolour has been well-presented in a new card mount and slim gilt frame. Illegibly signed. On paper.
Condition
The pastel is in a very good condition for its age. The paper has rippled slightly to the lower right corner and there is some wear and scuffing to the gilt-effect frame.
