A charming 17th century Dutch tavern scene depicting a delivery man at the doorway greeting the owner with a package, whilst a family can be seen to the left beneath a wooden lean-to. The composition is captured in the warm glow of sunset beneath peach skies. Presented in a distressed gilt frame with ornate palmette decoration at the corners. Unsigned. On panel.
Condition
A light, even patina of age is present across the surface of the artwork. Minor surface marks and abrasions to the perimeter of the panel. Inspection under UV light reveals areas of minor restoration. The frame has a fine patina of age. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition.
