A quaint oil on wooden panel by an unknown follower of George Morland (1763-1804). The painting shows a donkey drawn cart with three passengers and a driver arriving at the Swan Inn.
The painting is unsigned and has been presented in an unglazed, gilt frame with floral and beaded strap work.
On wood panel.There is heavy craquelure to the surface, possibly from previous restoration. There is a white mark in the top right quadrant of the painting. There is discolouration typical for a painting of this age. The frame is i fine condition.
