Description
A stunning 19th century folk art study depicting a wild rabbit running through long grass. The piece is beautifully presented in a distressed gilt-effect frame with an original label and inscription on the reverse. Though unsigned, this charming work was acquired alongside its companion piece 'The Hare' (SX087). On panel.
Condition
The artwork is in particularly fine condition for its age. There is a small pinhole in the panel just to the left of the rabbit's nose. Light wear to the frame.
