An exquisite 19th century gilt picture frame, complete with original water-gilding. Crafted with beautiful outset corners, fine running patterns and floral swags centred by an intricate cartouche. Elegantly housed in original mahogany veneer case with velvet lining.

This frame is in exquisite condition considering its age, testament to its maker's fine craftsmanship. The velvet lining is in excellent condition, still rich with colour. There is some gluing to the ornamentation and running patterns where hairline cracks are present. There is some restoration to the acanthus leaf decoration. The wooden case is in very good condition with original screws.
