They wear distinctive Morion helmets and chainmail, their weapons held with disciplined precision. Beside them stands a figure in long, flowing robes, his posture composed and his gaze fixed to the distance. Light discolouration to the varnish. Fine craquelure throughout. Light scratches noted to the upper margin. The artwork has been previously restored. The canvas has been relined. Inspection under UV light reveals very small areas of overpainting. Overall the artwork remains in good condition for its age. Minor wear to the frame, including fine cracking and light scuffs.
