Painter, illustrator and printmaker born in London. He attended Leyton School of Art and studied with Arthur Briscoe. During World War II he served in the RNVR as a Gunnery Officer. He was elected RSMA in 1950 and also showed at the RA. He often signed as “Fid Harnack” and lived and worked at West Mersea, Essex painting marinescapes. An example of his work is in the collection of the National Maritime Museum.
