A horse-drawn cart travels along a cobbled street beneath a sky streaked with rain in this atmospheric depiction of rural life by Belgian artist Ferdinand De Prins (1859-1908). Artist Biography

Ferdinand De Prins (1859-1908) was a Belgian artist born in Brecht. He was a student of decorative arts at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts at the young age of thirteen. He was predominantly a painter of landscapes, harbour scenes, and animals.
