A pretty and delicate Impressionist harbour scene in a pastel palette, typical of the era. The scene shows a busy promenade along the harbour wall, filled with people strolling by the water and a sunny day. The artist has signed and dated to the lower left corner and has been handsomely presented in a gilt frame with oversize molding. On canvas.
Condition
There is some craquelure to the surface, particularly in the upper right corner. The frame has some , tarnishing, surface dirt and areas of the gilt have been retouched.
