A view across a lake with trees and figures in the foreground. The sails of sailing boats can be seen on the water in the distance. Presented in a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame with a gilt-effect slip. Signed 'F.A. Flet[...]' to the lower-right edge, possibly the landscape painter Flitcroft Fletcher (1848-1886) who exhibited five times at the Royal Academy. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There is some stable craquelure to the surface and two small areas of restoration, one to the tree trunks and one to the lower-left edge. There are some marks to the frame. Overall in good condition.
