A delicate watercolour landscape by British artist Ernest Longstaffe, depicting the beautiful mountain pass of Kirkstone in the heart of the Lake District, Cumbria. A mix of bracken and heather can be seen carpeting the mountains on either side of the composition, while in the centre a hiker is pictured admiring the breath-taking views. Signed with monogram to the lower right-hand corner. The painting is well presented in a glazed gilt frame and mount. Inscribed by the artist, verso. On paper.Condition
