Description

A fine portrait of a gentleman in evening wear. Unsigned. Beautifully presented in a swept gilt frame with intricate c-scrolling and shell ornamentation. On canvas.

Condition

The painting has undergone some surface restoration with small areas of overpainting, mainly to the background. Stable cracking and small losses to the gilt frame.
