Edward Henry Holder (1847-1922) - Signed & Framed 1886 Oil, The Waterfall
DescriptionAn impressive oil painting by listed British artist Edward Henry Holder. The muted tones and delicate brushstrokes gives this composition an understated elegance. Well presented in a textured gilt effect frame. Signed and dated. On canvas.
With craquelure across the artwork, most notably to brown paint pigment. Inspection under UV light shows no retouching to the paint. There is a minor loss to the edge of the frame to the lower right edge.
