Description

A lovely watercolour with red ink detailing of the village of Woodbastwick in Norfolk. Well presented in a card mount with graphite border and in a simple wooden frame. The location is inscribed in the lower left and the artist has signed and dated to the lower right. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is also some minor scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography

Edward Darby was born in 1928 and has been described by his friends as a self taught artist. He has sold many works, with most depicting his home county of Norfolk. He became a member of the Great Yarmouth Society of Artists in 1966, eventually becoming the group's secretary.
