Edouard Jacques Dufeu (1836-1900) was a painter and engraver born in Marseille. He moved to Paris in 1860, where he was a pupil at Charles Gleyre's workshop. Between 1861 and 1865, he was a member of the Society of Aquafortists. He exhibited at the Salon des artistes Français from 1865 to 1890, taught drawing in various communal schools in Paris, and then supplied drawings to various newspapers.
