Ebenezer John Woods Prior (1914-1988) was a Bradford-born landscape painter, known as Jack Prior. He was largely self-taught with a little help from Ernest William Haslehurst, and he worked in the family wool business until its closure in 1971. He then turned to painting full-time. Noted for paintings of the Yorkshire Dales, he exhibited at the RA, RBA, Royal Cambrian Academy and in Yorkshire.
