The artist has a wonderful, illustrative style typical of the late 1930s/40s. The natural, earthy palette only highlights the pink flush of the girl's cheeks.
The painting is unsigned and elegantly framed in a glazed, gilt frame with off-white card mount.
On watercolour paper.There are two very light spots of foxing in the lower right quadrant. The frame is in fine condition.
