Early 20th Century Watercolour - Blossoming Passion
Description
A highly romanticised watercolour showing a young couple in a passionate embrace. The woman is nude with her dress discarded on the floor and the young man is dressed in attire from the early 1700s. Rose petals in the shape of hearts fall from their hands and a statue of a cherubic Cupid stands over them.
The painting is unsigned and presented in a rubbed gilt effect frame with glazing and a grey/blue mount.
On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is slight undulation to the paper. The frame has heavy scuffing and wear to the gilt.
