A serene winter scene depicting the canals of Amsterdam under a blanket of pristine white snow. A bridge spans the waterway whilst bare trees line the road. The artist employs a hazy, impressionistic style with subtle impasto, providing the piece with texture and depth. Well presented in a distressed silver frame. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

Discolouration, including slight yellowing to the varnish layer. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. The frame has a deliberately distressed finish with scuffs and scratches. The artwork is in very good condition for its age and presents well.
