Description

An evocative c.1910 landscape of Loch Sunart in the West Highlands. On the south-facing hillside of the loch lies one of the best surviving remnants of the ancient Atlantic oak forest which once clothed most of the west coast of Scotland. Presented in an ornate gilt frame. Inscribed with the location to the verso. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

There is some craquelure to the surface. Some very small chips to the moulding at the corners of the frame. Overall in very good condition.
