A quintessentially English landscape with cattle grazing on wooded hills with a farmhouse cottage in the distance. This impressively sized oil has been rendered in a dark palette with pink hues in the sky and frosting the tips of the grass and trees, giving an atmosphere of the waning sun. The artist has signed illegibly in the bottom right corner and monogrammed BWS (Birmingham Watercolour Society).
