Description

A dynamic portrait of an Imperial Russian army general on horseback brandishing his saber.

The painting is unsigned and presented in a contemporary gilt effect frame with swept corners and rails, glazing and a wash-line mount.

On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor foxing. There is a small tear repair next to the horse's front left hoof and a small crease at the lower left corner and general light dirtying to the painting's surface. The frame is in fine condition.
