Early 19th Century Stipple Engraving - Tombs, Coins and Seals From Bath
DescriptionA very fine engraving with elements of stipple engraving, showing tombs, seals and coins of various towns and villages in and around the Roman city of Bath in Somerset, England. A highly unusual piece, rich with historical information about the surrounding around of Bath. On laid.
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration particularly to the outer edges. There is a water stain to the top right quadrant but this is not noticeable as it is hidden in one of the seals. The original plate lines are in tact. There is a 1cm tear at the top right edge and another to the right edge.
