Early 19th Century Stipple Engraving - Tombs, Coins and Seals From Bath

A very fine engraving with elements of stipple engraving, showing tombs, seals and coins of various towns and villages in and around the Roman city of Bath in Somerset, England. A highly unusual piece, rich with historical information about the surrounding around of Bath. On laid.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration particularly to the outer edges. There is a water stain to the top right quadrant but this is not noticeable as it is hidden in one of the seals. The original plate lines are in tact. There is a 1cm tear at the top right edge and another to the right edge.

Sheet: 23.9 x 30.1cm (9.4" x 11.9")
