Collection Information

From an early-nineteenth-century album of sketches and prints signed "Sam Baker" and dated 1819. A note inside the album states "Quite a number of original pencil drawings dated 1840 etc. Album also dated. Mostly by E. W. Baker, my gt. gt. grandmother. Sothebys told me in 1970 that many of these drawings will command a good price and advised me to keep them carefully."
