Description

A wonderful mid-century study of a painter at work in a studio. He sits in a relaxed manner at his easel with a paintbrush in hand. The bright colours and expressive brushwork make this piece a cheery glimpse into the artist's inner workings. Signed and dated. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some surface dirt. There are some historic creases to the canvas material. The canvas has been stapled to the homemade stretchers and the upper and lower edges of the canvas. Inspection under UV light shows so sign of restoration.
