A delicate coloured lithograph showing a nude woman reclining with her legs crossed. The artist has signed and dated to the lower right corner and has inscribed a print number to the lower left. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and foxing.

Collection Information

Born in Vienna in 1942 into a family of architects from Graz, Maria Elisabeth Lebzelten started drawing at a young age. After leaving school, she studied painting at the University of Applied Arts in Graz under the direction of Rudolf Szyszkowitz. She attended the “Schule des Sehens” (School of Seeing) summer school in Salzburg in 1962, led by Oskar Kokoschk.

Her works were first shown in 1968 in Vienna and since have been exhibited internationally. Her most popular subject are her portraits of young woman.
