David Paskett is painter who was born in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. He studied at Hornsey College of Art, Exeter College of Art and Liverpool College of Art, and while at Exeter he was awarded the Queen's Award to study in Italy in 1965.
A professional singer-songwriter, part-time lecturer and teacher of art, Paskett lived in Hong Kong, 1986-90. He worked as an artist at London's Science Museum, 1991 and was artist in residence at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford 1992-93. David Paskett was elected as a member of the Royal Watercolour Society in 2001 and elected as vice-president of the Royal Watercolour Society in 2007 and President in 2009.
He has exhibited at the Catto Gallery, London, at the Mall Galleries with Singer/Friedlander in their Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, at the RA, Martins Gallery, Cheltenham, New Grafton Gallery, Barnes, Messums Gallery London, Norwich 20 Group and in America at the Washington Museum of Fine Arts and at the Salmagundi Club, Fifth Avenue, New York. His work, largely photo-realist in style is in the collection of the Shurniak Art Gallery, Saskatchewan, Canada.
