Dan Escott - Original Original 1981 Gouache. Four images laid on card. From Look & Learn magazine, dated on verso 11th April 1981, page 32. Inscribed verso. In fine condition.

His book illustrations include Architecture (1969), Architecture: The Great Art of Building (1969), Discovery of Australia (1969) and Discovery of South America(1970), some of which were jointly illustrated by Gwen Green who was also a prolific children's educational book illustrator.

Collection Information

From a collection of original artwork used in the children's publication Look & Learn dated from the 1960s to 1980s, including Finding Out, another British weekly educational magazine for children that was the main competitor to Look and Learn before the two publications amalgamated in 1967, and Treasure. Most are mixed media including watercolour, gouache, poster paint, ink and acrylic.
