A well executed still life of fruit and wine by 20th century artist Constance Cooper. All elements of the scene have been exquisitely captured from the flesh of the fruit, to the delicate light glinting off the wine glasses. The oil has been signed by the artist to the lower right. Well-presented in a decorative gilt-effect frame with a soft linen slip. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
There is a small orange stain to the linen slip visible in the upper left corner. Otherwise in fine condition.

Artist Biography
Constance Cooper SWA FRSA (1905-1998) was a British artist from Croydon, London. She studied at Croydon College of Art and was elected to the Society of Women Artists, becoming their Vice President. She was also the President of Croydon Art Society for twenty-two years.
