Born in Bedfordshire in 1930, Clifford Knight was tutored from an early age by William Twybel ARCA and then went on to study at the Central School of Art in London. Throughout his career he has exhibited in One Man Shows in London, Luton, Letchworth and Northampton Art Galleries as well as being owned by private collectors in the USA, Paris and Canada.
Knight is predominantly knows to work in watercolour, however he routinely works in oil and acrylic, often on a large scale - his primary interest being in the subject of architectural decay and industrial remains. In particular he is committed to creating atmospheric records of buildings remaining from World War II.
