Claude Weisbuch - 19th Century Lithograph Two Wrestlers
Description
In this breathtaking artwork, two wrestlers are captured in the swirling blur of a fight. With strong undertones of the human condition, the figures weave and blend into one form through seamless smears and smudges. The clutched figures contrast the uniform, speckled background.
The print has a number in the bottom left-hand corner saying 127/250. The piece has the artist's signature in the bottom right-hand corner. Affixed to the back is a label from the Lithograph company.
The artwork is well presented in a robust metal frame with a brown fabric relief and a metal inner border.
Signed. On paper.Condition
The piece is in excellent condition. The paper is slightly warped and the frame has some minor marks and scratches.
