A delightful oil study by the well listed Cornish artist Christopher Insoll (b.1956). Figures on an iron bench overlook a breezy Cornish bay. Signed lower right. Presented in a decorative veneer frame with gilt slip. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
The oil is in excellent condition with no signs of restoration. Slight movement to the slip within the outer frame.

Artist Biography
Chris Insoll (b.1956) is a British artist heavily associated with Cornwall, particularly Porthscatho where he maintains a studio on the coast. He studied at the Chelsea School of Art and Falmouth School of Art. He established the Porthscatho Society of Arts in 1984 and is active in the Cornish arts circles. He has exhibited widely in the UK and Europe and in 1992 was prize winner at the La Federation Nationale de la culture Francaise. He has works in both the Royal Cornwalls Museum and Falmouth Art Gallery.
